How to arrive


After landing at Luís Eduardo Magalhães Airport in Salvador you can either take a taxi directly to Terra Mirim or to Salvador’s Bus Station.

In case you come by bus,
from the bus-station of Salvador (Rodoviaria) get a ticket to Camaçari along the road Ba 093, at ticket office of the company Regional on the 1st floor. It is highly recommendable to ask the bus driver to stop at Terra Mirim (the 7th km of the road Ba 093) already while entering the bus and to remember him later again shortly after passing the company Eternit.

at first, take the road BR-324, then follow the map below.

What is the distance from/to Salvador? - 28 KM

The Terra Mirim Foundation has an area of 25.000 m² and lies in the rural area of Simões Filho. The distance from Salvador is about 28 km, it is approximately 30 min. by car. It is located at the road BA 093, with the same destination as to Camaçari, Dias D´ávila and other cities in the north of Bahia.


What are the vegetation and the animals like? - Atlantic Rainforest

Many tropical flowers, liana, jackfruit-tree, guava, cashew-tree, the California pepper tree, acacia, lots of birds (there are more than 300 registered species), the Indian pork (cavia aperea), iguanas, among others. There is a natural reserve of Terras de S?o Francisco, very close to TMF, with many other animals and ecological trekkings.


How is the climate? - Humid tropical

The daily temperature in this region varies between 25°C and 38°C and between 13°C and 20°C at night. We suggest bringing warm clothes (fleece, pullover), boots or shoes and raincoat in the rainy period (from April to August).
